Vacu-Blast International and French surface stress analysis specialists, Sonats, have announced a strategic alliance to collaborate on major developments of the shot peening process.
Developments in surface treatments will be of interest to companies operating in both the aerospace and automotive industries according to Vacu-Blast International group managing director Mike Riley.
"There have been no significant developments in the partial application of shot peening technology in recent years. We are confident that this joint venture will break the mould and result in innovations that will propel the process into the 21st century," he says.
