Publication of the report on the fatal July 2002 collision between a DHL Boeing 757 freighter and a Bashkirian Airlines Tupolev Tu-154M over southern Germany is expected in the week beginning 17 May, according to German air accident investigation agency BFU. Before that, says the BFU, there will be a final hearing of all the states directly or indirectly involved in the accident to enable them to submit comments as possible appendices. This includes Russia and the USA as the states of aircraft manufacture, Switzerland as the state responsible for air traffic control in the sector and Bahrain as the 757's state of registry.
