Global satellite-communications company Comsat Mobile Communications, of Bethesda, Maryland, has appointed Alan Labbe, Robert Roe, Michael Smith and Craig Poyner to its government sales team. Labbe was formerly a US Navy programme manager of Inmarsat programmes, for the Navy media service. Roe was most recently a contractor for USN satellite-communications programmes, including that of Inmarsat. Smith's previous position was that of lead government sales-account manager with Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile Communications. Poyner was involved in government aeronautical applications and installations at Racal Satcom.
