Seen (left) is Brian Trubshaw, chief test pilot of the Anglo-French Concorde, with (centre) Capt Jeremy Rendall, who completed his last British Airways Concorde flight on 20 July, landing at RAF Fairford, in the UK. With them are the crew of the first British Airways commercial Concorde flight, in 1976, Brian Calvert (second left), Norman Todd (second right) and John Lidiard (right). The occasion, at the International Air Tattoo 96, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the supersonic airliner, much of whose development work was conducted at Fairford. Rendall has been a Concorde training captain since 1984.
