Italian authorities are following five different lines of inquiry after a privately owned Rockwell Commander 112JC crashed into the Pirelli tower in central Milan, Italy, on the evening of 18 April, killing pilot Luigi Fasulo and at least two people in the building. The light aircraft was en route from Locarno, Switzerland, to Milan's Linate Airport - on the outskirts of the city to the south east - but the pilot reported problems lowering his landing gear and was instructed to hold clear of the city while attending to it. As Flight International went to press the authorities were insisting that the incident looks more like an accident than a sabotage attempt.
