Boeing has unveiled the pricing structure for its Connexion in-flight broadband internet service, establishing a two-tier system for passenger access. Options are a flat fee - which will be subdivided for long-, medium- and short-haul sectors - or a metered option whereby passengers pay according to the time spent using the system. Its flat rate will be fixed at $29.95 for flights of more than 6h, $19.95 for flights of 3-6h, and $14.95 for flights lasting less than 3h. The metered pricing will start at $9.95 for the first 30min and cost $0.25 for each further minute.
