A new investment company was formed late last week by 35 Belgian businesses to invest up to Euro203 million ($180 million) in local carrier Delta Air Transport (DAT). Air Holding, which comprises 35 Belgian companies, was joined last week by Bekaert, the second largest provider of steel products to the aerospace industry. The payment is subject to approval from Sabena's receivers and an agreement by creditors to convert their claims into shares and to invest a further Euro100 million in DAT to bring the capital to Euro 300 million.
