First-time exhibitor Farnborough Aerospace Consortium is using the show to launch a CD-ROM version of its directory of members' products.

Formed two years ago, the Consortium, an umbrella of more than 550 member companies, sees Farnborough '98 as an opportunity to expand its membership as well as demonstrating its new product, says communications consultant Mark Mason.

On the stand (Hall 4, Stand G5) are 36 member companies including Airinmar, Pascall Electronics, Paint Services Group, Hamble Design Services, Specialised Elastomers, Specialist Electronics Services, Mapline Engineering, Hampshire & Surrey Business, Aviation Electrical & Radio, and Celeb.
