FLIR Systems has won a $5.5 million Mexican navy contract for eight Star SAFIRE II multi-sensor infrared surveillance systems for its EADS Casa C212-200s. The navy has also taken 12 options. Pratt & Whitney has won a $25.5 million contract to overhaul and upgrade 40 F100-200 engines to 38 F100-220Es, plus two module sets, to support the lease to the Italian air force of Lockheed Martin F-16s. Boeing has received a $21.1 million US Air Force contract for the Rockwell B-1 Defensive Systems Upgrade Program Engineering and Manufacturing Development programme to study feasibility of an alternative fibre option towed decoy. Raytheon has won a $10 million contract from a south Asian customer to supply a HISAR reconnaissance system by year-end, including a Beech King Air 200, HISAR synthetic aperture radar, ground station, spares, training and technical support. BAE Systems has won an $8 million contract for 69 fuel-management advisory computers and 58 integrated fuel-management panels for US Air Force Boeing KC-135 tankers. Héroux-Devtek's Landing Gear division has won a C$31 million ($19.6 million) order from the US armed forces for undercarriage components for the Lockheed Martin C-5, F-16 and P-3, and KC-135R. Lockheed Martin Management and Data Systems has won a $5.9 million deal to upgrade the Advanced Tomahawk Weapons Control System to the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System for UK Royal Navy Trafalgar Class submarines. Dunlop Aerospace Precision Rubber is to supply electromagnetic shielding for the Eurofighter Typhoon to protect electronics against electromagnetic and radio interference. Boeing has won a $40 million Canadian Forces contract for colour displays on F/A-18A/B Hornets. The upgrade could cover 80 Canadian and 71 Australian fighters, and be worth over $100 million. Litton Systems Canada will design the system for Boeing, with first deliveries in 2005.
