•  Saab Avitronics is to equip the German air force’s Panavia Tornados with new radar warning equipment under a contract worth around SKr1 billion ($134 million) with EADS Deutschland. The fleet will receive the new defensive aids subsystem from 2006-9 as part of a wider mid-life upgrade.
  •  Northrop Grumman will supply the US Marine Corps with 24 Litening AT targeting pods under a $40 million contract to equip the service’s Boeing F/A-18C/D Hornets.
  •  Tricom Technologies is to deliver five simulation-based training devices to support Canada’s future fleet of 28 SikorskyCH-148 Cyclone (S-92) maritime helicopters under a deal with General Dynamics Canada. Tricom will supply equipment including two mission simulator fuselages to CFB Shearwater, Nova Scotia.
  •  EADS Defence Electronics has received a €260 million ($323 million) subcontract from the EuroDASS consortium to provide core components for the Eurofighter’s defensive aids subsystem. The work covers provision of parts to protect 236 Tranche 2 Eurofighters on order for Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.
