• Lockheed Martin is to produce a further 158 Arrowhead modernised target acquisition designation sight/pilot night vision sensors for the US Army's Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters under a $311 million deal that also covers the delivery of some systems to export operators.
  • Northrop Grumman has received an initial $12.5 million to launch engineering work leading to the re-engining of the US Air Force's E-8C JSTARS airborne ground surveillance system aircraft with Pratt & Whitney JT8D-219 engines.
  • The US Army has awarded Boeing the first $48.1 million of a planned $69.8 million contract to procure long-lead items for the production or remanufacture of CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters to the Special Operations Command MH-47G configuration. Work will be completed by August 2008.
  • Boeing has received a $16.3 million contract to provide support services through 2007 to F/A-18A/B/C/D Hornet operators Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain, Switzerland and the US Navy. The Finnish air force has, meanwhile, selected Northrop Grumman's Litening AT targeting pod under its F-18 mid-life update programme.
  • Raytheon Aircraft has received a $7 million contract to provide continued engineering services until June 2008 to bridge the gap between the end of its previous award for the US Air Force and US Navy T-6 Texan II Joint Primary Aircrew Training System aircraft and a new production contract.
