■ The Netherlands defence ministry has signed a follow-on contract with EADS Space subsidiary Paradigm Secure Communications to use spare capacity on the UK Ministry of Defence's Skynet 4 and Skynet 5 communications satellites from January 2007.
■ The US Air Force has awarded Engineered Fabrics a $37.6 million contract to produce replacement fuel storage cells for its Boeing KC-135 tankers. The work will conclude by May 2009.
■ Northrop Grumman has received a five-year contract worth $22.1 million to provide engineering, maintenance and repair services for the AQS-14A and AQS-24 airborne mine countermeasures systems in use by the US Navy.
■ Robertson Aviation has been awarded an almost $19 million contract to supply 53 extended-range mission auxiliary tank systems for the US Marine Corps' Bell Boeing MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor transports by February 2008.
■ Honeywell has received a $6.2 million contract modification to supply the US armed services with 88 embedded global positioning/inertial navigation systems by July 2008. The equipment will be installed on US Army Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow, MH-6 Little Bird and MH-47G Chinook helicopters, plus some US Air Force Lockheed Martin F-16 fighters.
■ Tadiran Spectralink has received an approximately $8 million contract to supply PRS-434G/SV personal survival radios to the German air force.
