• The US Air Force will receive an initial 50 test examples of a low collateral damage version of the Small Diameter Bomb Increment I weapon under a $17.7 million contract with Boeing. To be delivered from January 2008, the focused lethality munitions will incorporate a composite case and multi-phase blast explosive charge. Boeing says the USAF could buy 450 of the 113kg (250lb) weapons by 2012.
  • Meggitt Avionics is to supply standby flight displays for the US Army's Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow Block III attack helicopters under a nine-year contract worth a potential $20 million.
  • Lockheed Martin is to provide Lot V avionics modernisation programme kits for the US Air Force's Lockheed C-5 strategic transport fleet by May 2009 under a $23.4 million deal.
  • Omega Aerial Refueling Services has received a contract extension worth $24 million to provide continued in-flight refuelling services to the US Navy using modified Boeing 707s. The award runs until March 2008.
  • Lockheed Martin is performing depot-level maintenance on a Royal Thai Navy Lockheed UP-3T surveillance aircraft in Greenville, South Carolina under a deal worth $3.5 million.
  • The US Air Force has awarded a Lockheed Martin-led team $40.4 million to complete the engineering and manufacturing development phase of its Fairchild A-10C precision engagement upgrade programme by May 2008. Aircraft Braking Systems will meanwhile supply 599 wheel assemblies for the A-10 fleet by June 2010 under a $6.7 million deal.
  • Boeing will provide logistics and operator support for the Royal Saudi Air Force's Boeing F-15C mission training system through December 2007 under a $5.2 million deal.
  • General Atomics has received a $9.4 million contract to produce five APY-8 Lynx synthetic aperture radars for the US Air Force by April 2009. The sensors will be integrated with the service's Predator unmanned air vehicles.
