Derco Aerospace (Hall 4-C12) is celebrating some key contractual wins.
The company already has one of the largest inventories of spares and military components in the business, but this has been increased thanks to becoming the distributor of the Honeywell Hardware Products Group (HPG) line of military aerospace parts and expendable supplies.
Under the agreement Derco will use HPG inventories and buying power to supply customers with products from more than 150 major manufacturers of hardware and expendables. The inventories will include products from Adams Industries, Aerospace Bearing Support, Aircraft Bearing, Airsupply Operations, Burbank Aircraft Supply, Harco, PacAero, PB Herndon and Tristar.
The company has also been awarded a contract (estimated to total more than $10 million) for the upgrade of Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft for the Botswana Defence Force.
The avionics upgrade will include replacing obsolete systems with new digital units and the introduction of new equipment to meet CNS/ATM requirements. Equipment will be installed to improve system reliability including, dual digital autopilots, multi-function display systems, colour weather radar, digital engine instrument display systems and an electrical system upgrade.
