The US Air Force and Navy have exercised a $101 million option for 40 Raytheon T-6A Texan aircraft and ground-based training equipment, taking the number on order for the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System to 109 from a planned total of over 700. The US Army has selected Rockwell Collins to upgrade two Raytheon C-12F3 King Airs to meet global air traffic management requirements. The company says upgrades to 21 more militarised King Airs will follow. Raytheon has been awarded a $46 million contract to engineer and test a land attack version of the Standard Missile. AAR Cargo System has won a contract from Alenia to supply the aerial delivery/logistics cargo system for the LMATTS C-27J. Eaton Aerospace has been picked by Lockheed Martin to supply the hydraulic power generation and utility actuation and control valve subsystem for its proposed Joint Strike Fighter. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has won a €86.6 million ($82.2 million) contract to supply the Spanish air force with surface-launched AMRAAM air defence systems. The deal includes four fire distribution centres and eight launchers based on the Norwegian Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System. Raytheon will supply MPQ-64D three-dimensional surveillance radars and interface electronics for the surface-launched version of its AIM-120 AMRAAM. Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $138 million contract to provide integrated logistics support for Israel's newly ordered F-16I Block 50plus fighters. It has also received a $14.4 million USAF contract for low-rate initial production of 3,027 Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser. The BAE Systems/Rockwell Collins joint venture Data Link Solutions has received a $27 million contract to produce 272 fighter datalink terminals to meet an urgent USAF requirement to equip BoeingF-15C/D/E Eagles with Link 16 tactical datalink capabilities.
