Greece has ordered 54 vehicle-mounted Stinger very-short-range air defence systems from Germany's Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and STN Atlas. Hellenic Arms Industry will partner the pair to meet offset commitments. The UK's EDM has won a contract to supply Eurofighter crew escape and safety system trainers to the four Eurofighter nations. The contract is the first awarded as part of the Eurofighter ground training aids package. EDM is teamed with Germany's Philotech and Spain's SPA. Raytheon has been awarded a $16.5 million production option by the US Army for seven TPN-31 air traffic navigation, integration and co-ordination systems. The vehicle-mounted systems provide air traffic services at army airfields and landing sites. Astrium and Logica have won a UK Ministry of Defence multi-million pound order for software to improve management of the UK military satellite communications system, optimising throughput.
