Elbit Systems has received an $18 million contract to supply Lizard laser guided bombs to the Italian air force for its Alenia/Embraer AMX fleet. Deliveries will last three years. Canada's Spar Aerospace has won a $100 million Greek air force deal for a Lockheed Martin C-130 avionics upgrade. Raytheon has received a $160 million US Marine Corps contract to supply its next generation Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC²S). Also on the CAC²S team are DHS Systems, Gallium Software, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Motorola, and Sensis. The UK's FHL has been selected by Sikorsky to supply hydraulic equipment for the S-92 helicopter. FHL is part of the Claverham group recently acquired by Sikorsky sister company Hamilton Sundstrand. Alenia Marconi Systems has awarded Mercury Computer Systems of the USA a $7.4 million order for its RACE PowerStream MP-510 systems for the European Multifunction Phased Array Radar (EMPAR). EMPAR is the primary radar for the French/Italian Horizon air defence warship. Saab Avionics has received a Thales Optronique contract worth SKr46 million ($4.3million) to supply the Swedish company's Eye-Safe Laser Rangefinder for an undisclosed French fighter. The equipment is to be integrated into a Front Optical System alongside a thermal imager and television imager. Ultra has received a £1.5 million ($2.1 million) contract from the Sultanate of Oman defence ministry for the HiPPAG 320 on-board compressor system. It will replace nitrogen bottles in BAE Systems Hawk and Sepecat Jaguar fighters to cool infrared seekers on Raytheon AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles. Ultra has also won an £18 million order to supply HiPPAG 320s for Eurofighters. Egypt has acquired a sixth E-2C Hawkeye from ex-US Navy stocks, which the maker, Northrop Grumman, will upgrade to Hawkeye 2000 configuration. The deal increases the value of a 1999 E-2 upgrade from $138 million to $163 million.
