BAE Systems Information & Electronic Warfare Systems has received a $55 million contract from TRW to develop and build radiation-hardened electronics for the US Air Force's Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military communications satellite system.

General Dynamics and Redcom Laboratories have received contracts worth $260.7 million and $76.2 million, respectively, to provide Theatre Deployable Communications packages to replace US Air Force ground communications equipment deployed to support combat operations.

Magellan Aerospace has received orders worth C$20 million ($13 million) from AgustaWestland to provide components for composite and metal components for the EH101 helicopter.

Ultra Electronics Sonar and Communication Systems has received an £8 million ($12.4 million) UK Ministry of Defence order for Barra passive sonobuoys for the BAE Nimrod MRA4 and AgustaWestland Merlin HMA1.

Boeing is to replace wedges on F/A-18 ailerons under a $7.9 million US Navy contract after wedge corrosion was found in over 90% of ailerons inducted for repair.

TRW is to develop an interim Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) for the Guardrail Information Node (GRIFN) mobile ground station under development for the US Army's Guardrail Common Sensor airborne signals-intelligence system, under a $13.5 million contract. The DCGS is a distributed network of exploitation cells. TRW is prime contractor for Guardrail, which uses the Raytheon RC-12, and is developing the GRIFN under a $13 million contract that was awarded last year.
