Hamilton Sundstrand is to supply replacement flight-control computers for US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in a deal thought to be worth $70 million. The computers are suitable for retrofit to the US Navy's SH-60 Seahawks and the Sikorsky CH/MH-53.
BAE Systems is to produce 42 ALR-56C(V)1 radar warning receivers for South Korea's Boeing F-15Ks under a contract valued at $58 million. The upgraded ALR-56C is part of the F-15K's electronic warfare system, which includes Northrop Grumman's ALQ-135 internal countermeasures system and BAE's ALE-47 chaff/flare dispenser.
Williams International is to investigate combustor, hot-section components, fuels, materials and control technologies that can lead to the demonstration of affordable, high-performance, low-emissions engines, under a five-year, $13.3 million US Air Force Research Laboratory contract.
