Air France Industries and Snecma Services have received a 10-year, €185 million ($185 million) French defence ministry contract to support CFM International CFM56 engines on French air force Boeing KC-135 tankers, E-3 airborne warning and control systems and McDonnell Douglas DC-8 transports. Northrop Grumman has received a $153.9 million US Air Force contract for contractor design support of the Boeing 767-400ERas the Multi-sensor Command and Control Aircraft platform and the "Balance Plus" configuration of the RQ-4A Global Hawk unmanned air vehicle. The money will accelerate development of mission equipment for the two programmes. EADS has received a contract to upgrade 11 Greek air defence L-band radars worth €25 million. Metric Systems has received a one-year, $4.9 million extension of the US Air Forces in Europe lease of a rangeless air combat training system located at Aviano AB in Italy, RAF Lakenheath in the UK and Spangdahlem in Germany. AMS has been selected to supply the combat system for the Italian navy's second aircraft carrier, the Andrea Doria. Rockwell Collins company Kaiser Electroprecision will supply throttle and stick grips and other equipment for the US Air Force's Fairchild A/OA-10 precision engagement upgrade under a BAE Systems contract potentially worth $6.2 million for 385 shipsets. Boeing has been awarded a $217.7 million USAF contract for the lease of up to four C-40 (737) aircraft and contractor support. Raytheon Electronic Systems has received a $47 million USN order for 517 signal processors, digital imaging processors and receivers for the Advanced Tactical Forward Looking Infrared system for Boeing F/A-18E/Fs. The US Army has awarded Thales-Raytheon Systems a $100.7 million order for eight TPQ-37(V)3 Firefinder radars. Boeing has won a $510.7 million US Navy contract for enhancements to F/A-18 embedded avionics, as well as ground-based F/A-18 mission planning and debriefing.
