BAE Systems Australia has received a contract from the Australian Department of Defence for avionics support of the Lockheed Martin AP-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft. The three-year contract is valued at A$12 million ($7 million). Raytheon has received a $98.8 million US Air Force contract modification exercising options for another 206 AIM-120 AMRAAM medium-range air-to-air missiles, for the US Air Force and Navy and foreign military sales to Australia and Sweden. Bell has received a $16.9 million US Army deal for 22 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters. CMC Electronics has been selected by Sikorsky to provide its CMA-2082M flight management system for theUH-60M Black Hawk upgrade programme. The contract is valued at $110 million over the life of the programme. Lockheed Martin has received low-rate initial production approval from the US Army for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System. General Electric Aircraft Engines and Asia Pacific Aerospace have signed a memorandum of understanding to investigate logistics and support for Australian Defence Force GE T700 turboshafts. Rolls-Royce has received a $42.5 million contract for 22 AE1107C engines for the Bell Boeing MV-22 Osprey. Switzerland has requested "Upgrade 21" equipment through the USFMS process to upgrade34 Boeing F/A-18 Hornet fighters. Equipment covered by the request is worth an estimated $110 million. Thailand has made an FMS request for two UH-60 utility helicopters. The deal is valued at $35 million. SI International has received a $43.5 million nine-year contract from USAF Space Command to provide space sensor technical support. Boeing Australia has received a A$7 million ($4.1 million) contract to upgrade the command and control system at the Headquarters Integrated Area Defence System, the operational arm of the Five Power Defence Arrangement.
