Evans & Sutherland's Harmony 2 image generator has been selected by Mitsubishi Precision for the visual system of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force's Mitsubishi/ Sikorsky SH-60K patrol helicopter simulator. Carmel Applied Technologies has selected Evans & Sutherland's SimFusion PC-based image generator for the Canadian Forces' AgustaWestland Cormorant cockpit procedures trainer and to upgrade visual systems on US Coast Guard Eurocopter HH-65 and Sikorsky HH-60J simulators. Raytheon Systems UK has received a Boeing order for GPS anti-jam antenna for the Australian Wedgetail airborne early- warning platform. Each of the four Boeing 737-based Wedgetails will have two antennas. Lockheed Martin UK Integrated Systems has been picked to provide a secure computer infrastructure to support the Joint Strike Fighter programme. JSF Euronet will be used by European companies to share information and is worth around £2 million ($3 million) over three years. Northrop Grumman has been selected to upgrade the navigation system on the US Air Force's RC-135 surveillance aircraft. AIL Systems has received an $80 million USAF contract for engineering support of the ALQ-161 electronic countermeasures and surveillance system fitted to the Rockwell B-1. VT Merlin Communications has been selected as preferred bidder for the UK's 15-year, £220 million strategic communications public/private partnership. Lockheed Martin and CAE are to build a C-130J loadmaster trainer for the USAF under a $13.4 million contract. Boeing is to build one C-40A (military quick-change 737) for the US Navy under a $61 million contract. The company will produce 20 Harpoon anti-ship missiles for Oman under a $21.8 million contract. The Japanese Air Self-Defence Force has concluded a deal for the first of four Boeing 767 tanker/transports. The JASDF has selected the General Electric CF6-80C2 to power the aircraft in a deal valued at $80 million.
