Raytheon is to develop the GPS digital anti-jam receiver (DAR) for the Lockheed Martin F-35 under a $25.8 million contract. The DAR combines a 24-channel anti-spoofing GPS receiver, adaptive beam-steering anti-jam electronics, and multi-element low-observable antenna. Northrop Grumman is to demonstrate the strategic illumination laser (SILL) for the Airborne Laser and future space-based systems under an 18-month, $18 million US Missile Defense Agency contract. Delivery of a flight-qualifiable, 4kW-class solid-state pulsed laser is scheduled for 2006. Orbital Sciences is to provide launches in 2005 to test advanced re-entry systems and countermeasures under a $14 million US Missile Defense Agency contract. Nine launches have been conducted since 1993, with two more scheduled in 2004. BAE Systems is to replace attitude/heading reference systems in US Navy Sikorsky SH-60B, SH-60F and HH-60H helicopters under a contract potentially worth $23.1 million.
