Raytheon is to produce 414 AIM-9M-2 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles for Egypt and 182 for Taiwan under a $54.7 million contract. TCOM is to produce one low-altitude surveillance system for Kuwait, consisting of a tethered aerostat balloon carrying a TPS-43 radar and AR-900 electronic intelligence system, under an $84.8 million contract. Boeing is to produce an eighth C-40A Clipper (737-700 Combi) for the US Navy under a $62 million contract. Lockheed Martin is to replace the visual system on US Air Force special forces AC-130, MC-130E/H and MH-53M simulators under a $13 million deal. The company has also awarded CAE a $7.7 million contract to upgrade 10 US Air Force C-130E/H simulators and has picked SEOS to supply the display system for a US Navy EA-6B simulator. Engineered Arresting Systems is to manufacture seven expeditionary arresting-gear systems for the US Marine Corps under a $6.9 million contract. Teledyne Technologies has won a $10 million contract under the US Air Force Research Laboratory's Versatile Affordable Advanced Turbine Engines project. Radar Electronic Industries has been selected by Rafael and a European partner to develop the solid-state recorder for an unidentified airborne system.
