Israel Aircraft Industries' Bedek Aviation Group has received a 10-year, $150 million contract for maintenance, repair and overhaul of the Israeli air force's McDonnell Douglas A-4 Skyhawk trainers.
Lockheed Martin is to supply the gunship multispectral sensor system for four new US Air Force AC-130U Spooky aircraft under a contract with prime contractor Boeing potentially worth $35 million. The sensor is a variant of the Hawkeye target sight system used on the US Marine Corps' Bell AH-1Z helicopter.
BAE Systems Platform Solutions is to supply the open-architecture mission computer, autopilot and inertial-navigation/global-positioning system for 20 BAE Hawk 128 advanced jet trainers set for delivery to the UK Ministry of Defence.
Raytheon is to produce two more integrated sensor suites for the US Air Force's Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned air vehicle. It will also deliver the first production enhanced sensor suite, which will provide 50% greater synthetic-aperture radar and electro-optical/infrared sensor range.
