- Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems is to produce 83 AQ-29A forward-looking infrared sensors for the US Marine Corps’ Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion transport helicopter fleet under a $38.8 million deal.
- Lear Siegler Services has received a $30.5 million contract to provide maintenance and related services for the Sheppard AFB, Texas-based Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training facility’s Cessna T-37 Tweet and Northrop T-38 Talon aircraft until September 2006.
- DRS Technologies has received a $30 million contract to produce infrared receivers for the Boeing AH-64 Apache Longbow attack helicopter’s Arrowhead modernised target acquisition designation/pilot night vision sensor. The company will deliver equipment to Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control by mid-2007 for installation on British and US Army Apaches.
- Eurofighter Simulation Systems has awarded CAE a more than C$10 million ($8.5 million) contract to equip Austria’s Eurofighter Typhoon full-mission simulator with its Medallion-S visual system. Austria is scheduled to accept the simulator in early 2007.
- Lockheed Martin has received a $50 million contract to produce an undisclosed number of GBU-12 laser-guided bomb kits for delivery to the US Air Force next year.
- The US Army has awarded DynCorp International a $30.8 million contract to upgrade 29 C-12R1 (Beechcraft King Air) transport aircraft to the enhanced C-12V configuration by September 2008.
- Lockheed Martin is to improve the WC-130J Hercules weather reconnaissance aircraft’s APN-241 navigation and weather radar by late 2006 under a $6.1 million contract from the US Air Force.
- Boeing has received a $5.2 million contract to supply 1760 weapons databus wiring for 23 AV-8B Harrier II fighters for the US Marine Corps.
- BAE Systems will produce the full-authority digital engine control system for the General Electric/Rolls-Royce F136 engine.
