Meggitt has received contracts worth over £63 million ($110 million) to supply air data transducers, braking systems and engine temperature sensors for Tranche 2 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft on order for Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK by 2012.

■ The UK Royal Air Force’s Boeing CH-47 Chinook HC2 transport helicopters are to receive Successor Identification Friend or Foe equipment by the end of next month under a £1.6 million ($2.8 million) deal with Raytheon Systems.

■ South Africa’s Aerospace Monitoring & Systems (AMS) company is to supply the data management systems for around 25 Airbus A330-200-based multirole tanker transports scheduled for delivery to Australia (five aircraft) and the UK (20) from EADS. AMS will complete prototype development activities this year and deliver its first production equipment in 2007.
