- Northrop Grumman has been awarded a $64 million contract from the US Air Force to manufacture 33 APG-68(V)9 radars for the Greek air force’s 30 Block 52 F-16C/D fighters scheduled for delivery by 2009. The radar work will conclude in early 2010.
- Raytheon has received a $97.7 million contract to supply the US Navy with a further 420 AGM-154C JSOW missiles by February 2008. n
- Elta Systems has received contracts worth a combined $37 million to provide EL/M-2022A airborne surveillance radars to equip upgraded Lockheed P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft for two undisclosed customers. Elta is also to provide an undisclosed Mil Mi-8/17 transport helicopter user with EL/M-2160 self-protection systems under an $8 million deal.
- Boeing has won a $39 million contract to complete an avionics upgrade to 78 of Canada’s CF-18 Hornets. Subcontractor L-3 MAS will install new cockpit displays, datalink and countermeasures equipment.
- Lockheed Martin has awarded Bell Helicopter Textron subsidiary US Helicopter a contract to modify a further nine UH-1H utility helicopters to the TH-1H trainer standard for the US Air Force.
- The US Air Force has awarded Rockwell Collins a $49 million contract to provide additional global air traffic management systems for its Boeing KC-135 tankers by June 2010.
