Air traffic controller unions are warning of further possible strike action this summer after holding a day of organised action on 19 June in protest at proposals for a European Single Sky. ATC European Unions Coordination estimated that around half of Europe's 15,000 controllers took part in some form of action. Brussels is aiming to reform Europe's fragmented air traffic system to reverse years of worsening delays, but controllers fear the possibility of privatisation and job cuts.
