Hong Kong based China Premium Lifestyle (CPL) has signed an MOU with Agusta Westland to be the local distributor of its products.  CPL anticipates an initial market for nine AW139 helicopters over the next three years, with the first demonstrator arriving in early 2008. Herbert Adamczyk, CPL’s president and COO says: “We believe there is a market for helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) in the region and would like to see more helipads around Hong Kong and Macau. Many public services here are funded by private individuals and we believe that there would be a great deal of interest in backing such a service.” Agusta Westland’s Renzo Lunardi, SVP commercial business unit, says: “There are HEMS provided in every major city in the world and the AW139 is ideal for the purpose as it is safer to fly a twin rather than single engine aircraft through built up areas.”
