The Croatian Government is scaling back use of its official jets, starting with the sale of one of its two Bombardier Challenger 601 business jets. The aircraft was sold to US computer consultancy TWR for $12.5 million late last month, with the proceeds used for the reconstruction of the war-torn eastern town of Vukovar. The government also says its remaining Challenger will be available for private lease as it restricts official flights to the country's president, prime minister and speaker. The second aircraft was bought by the late former president Franjo Tudjman in 1995.
