Crossair has reached agreement with its main pilot union CCP over the terms of a new collective labour agreement, averting the threat of possible strike action.

The Swiss regional, part of the SAirGroup, says the deal "means that the working conditions and pay of Crossair pilots will be brought into line with prevailing market conditions".

Pilots will receive pay increases in three annual increments and a number of other benefits, including a reduction in working hours. Implementation of the five-year agreement remains subject to a ballot of CCP members.
