Lockheed Martin and NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama, have jointly developed and tested a sub-scale compostite liquid oxygen cryogenic tank as part of the space agency's Second Generation Reusable Launch Vehicle research and technology development programme. The 2.7m (9ft) long, 1.2m wide, 225kg (495lb) tank will undergo further flight tests.
