CSA Czech Airlines has placed a firm order for three additional Boeing 737-500s. Orders for a further seven aircraft are subject to future reconfirmation. Together, the ten aircraft are valued at around $350 million. First delivery is scheduled for early 1997. CSA has the right to substitute larger members of the 737 family if requirements change. The Prague-based carrier now operates five -500s and two -400s, alongside Airbus ATR and Tupolev aircraft.
