Czech Aircraft Works has completed installation of a spray system on the Zenair CH701 light utility aircraft. The resulting CH701-AG, being offered at an introductory price of $48,500, can reduce the cost of aerial application by 75% over other agricultural aircraft, Zenair claims. The two-seat, all-metal CH701 is also available as a kitplane. The Czech company's Spray Miser ultra-low-volume crop treatment system uses wind-driven rotary atomisers for precise application. Fitted with a 135 litre (30 USgal) belly tank and underwing spray bars, the aircraft retains the CH701's short take-off and landing performance and can be fitted with amphibious floats.
