Eurofighter development aircraft DA7 has fired a Raytheon AIM-120 AMRAAM medium range air-to-air missile (AAM) and the same company's AIM-9LSidewinder short-range AAM as well as the MBDAASRAAM short range-AAM. The tests were a major step towards clearing Eurofighter for its air-to-air dedicated initial operational clearance standard. First tests of the forward looking infrared sensor have also been completed.
