Eurocopter will deliver the first of two EC155 helicopters to the police force of China's Dalian province this month.
The first EC155 will be equipped for VIP transport, and its first mission to support a World Economic Forum meeting in Dalian on 14-16 September, Eurocopter said.
After this the helicopter will be equipped with a searchlights and a hoist to support general police activities.
The second EC155 will be delivered in late 2012.
There are currently 16 EC155s operating in China, Eurocopter said. The largest operator, CITIC Offshore Helicopter Co, has 11 of the type.
Other operators include the Hong Kong government and the police forces of Guangdong province and Shanghai.
The EC155 is a 5 tonne, twin-engined helicopter that can carry up to 12 passengers.
