Damiler's Amibition

Daimler Benz Aerospace is to open an office in New Delhi and is holding out the possibility of local licence-manufacture of Dornier and Fokker types. Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) already builds the Dornier 228, but Daimler Benz-chairman Edzard Reuter says: "We're open to a separate venture without HAL for setting up manufacturing licences for small aircraft like Fokker and Dornier [types]."
