In a state-supported deal to preserve jobs, Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA) has handed over part of its former Munich-Neuaubing production site to a company formed by ex-DASA employees. The new company, Advanced Integral Structures (ADIS), has taken over 40% of the original site, which was threatened with closure by DASA's 1993 restructuring plan. It will save 300 of the plant's former workforce of 1,100. DASA says that it has guaranteed ADIS contracts to supply plastic components until 1998.
