Dassault has delivered the first Falcon 7X to China, two months after the long-range business jet was granted approval by the country's civil aviation administration.

The 7X is now in the hands of a private, undisclosed company and will be based in Shenzhen in southern China, says Dassault. The French airframer is gearing up to deliver two more 7X to Chinese customers before the middle of the year.

Meanwhile, Dassault's Brazilian service centre has been given US Federal Aviation Administration Part 145 certification, paving the way for the Sorocaba-based facility to perform maintenance on US-registered Falcon business jets.

The approval comes nine months after the Dassault-owned company received Brazilian maintenance approval. Dassault says: "The Falcon fleet has grown significantly in Central and South America, which to date has 46 operators, including 28 in Brazil alone. That number is expected to swell to more than 50 over the next year."
