Some of the 12 mobile communications satellites being built for Inmarsat affiliate ICO will fly on McDonnell Douglas's new launch vehicle, the Delta III.

Bob Cowls of McDonnell Douglas's Space Systems Division, reveals at the Show that Hughes Space and Communications, has booked 11 launches starting with the Galaxy 10 satellite which will ride the first Delta III in 1998.

The Inmarsat spacecraft, which will enable hand-held mobile phone communication anywhere in the world, will be among some of the remaining ten payloads in the manifest.
