With the increasing size of general aviation aircraft - the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), for example - the UK government should remove the commercial licence from Birmingham Airport and develop it into Europe's premier GA airfield.

Birmingham has the infrastructure for BBJ-sized aircraft, is close to rail and road links and the NEC, which could be turned into Europe's principal convention and exhibition centre.

This would get GA on the move in the UK.
