Chinese company Deer Jet is to use a pair of AgustaWestland A109 Powers to shuttle harbour pilots in the port of Shanghai. Hainan Airlines subsidiary Deer Jet is the third operator to use the Power in the pilot shuttle role, following South African company Balmoral and a US customer. AgustaWestland says the aircraft will yield significant time savings when ferrying pilots to ships docked in Shanghai harbour. The A109s are also equipped for search and rescue, emergency medical evacuation and general support of international shipping.
