The second launch of Boeing's Delta III from launch complex 17 at Cape Canaveral, Florida, is scheduled for 5 April. The Delta III will carry Loral Skynet's Orion 3 communications satellite into geostationary transfer orbit. The first flight failed in August 1998, resulting in the loss of the Galaxy X satellite. The Delta III is manifested to fly 16 Hughes and Loral-built communications satellites.
