Delta Air Lines plans to inaugurate five weekly nonstop flights between Philadelphia and Los Angeles beginning in October.

The airline aims to operate Boeing 737-800s on the pairing, said the carrier.

Delta joints both United and US Airways, who has a hub at Philadelphia, in operating nonstop flights on the pairing, according to the Innovata database. United operates its service with Boeing 757 and Airbus A320 aircraft, while US Airways uses a mix of A320s and A321s.

Southwest Airlines also offers several one-stop flights from Philadelphia to Los Angeles.
