Delta Air Lines will perform maintenance on regional aircraft engines owned by two of its Delta Connection subsidiaries, Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) and Comair. The Delta TechOps unit values the CF34 "in-sourcing" work, which had been performed by GE, at $1 billion over 10 years. ASA and Comair chose the non-union TechOps after a competitive cost evaluation, said Delta.
