Delta Air Lines is testing an all-business class cabin on flights between its Atlanta Hartsfield hub and Houston Hobby and Kansas City International airports. AirTran Airways competes with Delta on both routes. The 12-week trial uses 150-seat Boeing 737-800s from its sagging Northeastern shuttle service, where Delta now uses smaller aircraft. The test will decide if larger, leather seats, more leg room and in-flight entertainment, free drinks and gourmet snacks can lure business travellers.
