Derco Aerospace has entered into the second phase of the Kiwi Direct programme for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Phase 1 included 396 consumables and approximately 30 components. In Phase 2, Derco is supporting the same components and has now taken on exclusive support for 2,669 consumable parts for RNZAF's Lockheed Martin C-130. Under the new programme, instead of managing parts, the RNZAF manages a simplified network of relationships between the government and industry with the objectives defined to meet the goals of higher operational availability and cost effectiveness.
