Aero Vodochody has received production organisation approval for the Ae270 single- engined turboprop, clearing the way for the Czech manufacturer to produce a range of aircraft, equipment and parts. The approval is also a key step towards securing additional funding to build a lighter executive version of the Ae270 and comes within weeks of the company securing US Federal Aviation Administration approval for the seven-seat aircraft co-developed with joint venture partner Taiwan’s Aerospace Industrial Development (Flight International, 7 -13 March).
