US freight forwarder Air Express International (AEI) is to merge with European mail, parcels and logistics company Deutsche Post. Deutsche Post will acquire the Darien, Connecticut-based company for approximately $1.14 billion (1.1 billion euros) in a deal which provides the European company with a significant presence in the US market.
